William F. Schaefer – Founder and Chief Executive Officer

 Mr. Schaefer is the CEO of S.C.S. Commodities Corp. Mr. Schaefer began his career on the NYMEX as a phone clerk and NYMEX member for Kidder Peabody in 1988.  He also was in charge of floor NYMEX options execution and sales for Shearson Lehman Brothers.  As a member of the NYMEX, Mr. Schaefer has served on several NYMEX committees including floor, settlement options advisory, facilities, floor broker, and membership.  Working as a floor broker and trader for over 20 years, Mr. Schaefer brings a wealth of experience to bear on the futures and options markets and their evolution and growth to OTC operations. Mr. Schaefer has been instrumental in bringing SCS to the technology forefront in OTC operations and he will lead the effort to do so for our managed companies.  Mr. Schaefer earned his bachelor of science from Boston University and his MBA from Seton Hall University.

 

Evaristo Stanziale - Principal

Mr. Stanziale is one of the founding partners and senior Vice President of  S.C.S. Commodities Corp.  Before starting SCS, Mr. Stanziale began his career as a derivatives specialist for Bear Stearns and Company on the American Stock Exchange and then was hired by Shearson, Lehman and Hutton to co-head its options execution and sales team on the NYMEX.  As a member of the NYMEX, Mr. Stanziale served on several NYMEX committees including floor, settlement options advisory, facilities, floor broker, and membership.  Working as a floor broker and trader for over 22 years, Mr. Stanziale brings a wealth of experience to bear on the futures and options markets and their evolution and growth to OTC operations.  Mr. Stanziale earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Finance/Management from the University of Hartford.  Mr. Stanziale is a frequent guest contributor for CNBC, Fox Business Network, CNN and Bloomberg.

 

William J. Preston – Principal

 Mr. Preston is a principal in S.C.S. Commodities Corp.  Mr. Preston started his career in commodities working at E D & F Man in the Man Metals division on the floor of the COMEX Exchange.  He worked in the gold, silver, and copper divisions from 1988 to 1989. He transferred to the Man Energy division in 1989, where he worked in the crude oil futures division on the floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange before migrating to Crude Oil Options, Product Options, and Natural Gas Options.  Mr. Preston was one the founding partners very first hire, joining S.C.S. Commodities Corp. in 1991. He worked as a phone clerk in Crude Oil Options, Product Options, and Natural Gas Options rings. Mr. Preston became a partner of the firm in 1992 and currently heads up the Natural Gas Operations at SCS.  Mr. Preston received his B.A. in Economics from Stockton State College.

 

Edward E. Lee – Principal

Mr. Lee is a Principal and Chief Marketing Officer of S.C.S. Commodities Corp. Mr. Lee joined SCS in 1994 to lead our futures business on the floor of the NYMEX.  He now serves as the CMO of the company and is responsible for globally marketing SCS as a full service global brokerage company. Mr. Lee has diversified and expanded SCS, to the full service brokerage company covering all commodity sectors that it is today.  Mr. Lee began his career in 1981 at Kidder Peabody & Co.  He built the firm’s first Futures/Options desk, NYSE Options floor operation and started the firm’s NYMEX Energy floor group.  Later elected Partner with Kidder Peabody he eventually folded the operations into SCS in 1994 when KP was closed. Mr. Lee has been in the futures and options business for over 30 years and brings a wide breadth of both brokerage experience and operational knowledge.
 

 

Leonard W. Davis – Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Davis has organized and managed private equity, technology, and natural resource companies.  He has been the principal financial manager in a private equity company and has been the Chief Financial Officer to the lead investor of a natural resource company active in metals and energy.  His experience spans a wide range of businesses including private equity, investment banking, leveraged buyout, and M&A.  Mr. Davis’ management experience includes due diligence on acquisition investments, acquisition and exit strategy, and investment analysis.  Before entering private equity, Mr. Davis was employed by Price Waterhouse, LLP (“PW”) in New York (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in their Personal Financial Services Group.  He provided tax planning and general business advice to wealthy individuals and their companies while at PW.  Prior to joining PW, Mr. Davis was employed in the Private Banking Group of J.P. Morgan Services, Inc.  Mr. Davis received his B.S. in Accounting from Spring Garden College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
